| AppleがiPhoneなど向けiOS 17.0.1とiPadOS 17.0.1をリリース！ |
Appleは21日（現地時間）、同社が販売するスマートフォン（スマホ）「iPhone」シリーズ向けプラットフォーム「iOS」とタブレット「iPad」シリーズ向けプラットフォーム「iPadOS」の最新バージョン「iOS 17.0.1（21A340）」および「iPadOS 17.0.1（21A340）」を提供開始したとお知らせしています。
対象機種はiOS 17およびiPadOS 17の対象機種である最新の「iPhone 15」シリーズを含むiPhone XS以降およびiPhone SE（第2世代）以降、iPad（第6世代以降）およびiPad mini（第5世代以降）、iPad Air（第3世代以降）、12.9インチiPad Pro（第2世代以降）、10.5インチiPad Pro、11インチiPad Pro（第1世代以降）の各製品にて無料で更新可能です。
変更点は重要なセキュリティー修正が含まれており、すべての対象機種で更新することが推奨されており、セキュリティー修正についてはKernelに関する「CVE-2023-41992」とSecurityに関する「CVE-2023-41991」、Webkitに関する「CVE-2023-41993:」といったCVEに登録されている2個の脆弱性が修正されてます。
それぞれ悪意を持って利用される可能性があり、同社ではこれらの問題がiOS 16.7以前において積極的に悪用された可能性があるという報告を認識しているとしています。その他、iPhone 15シリーズ向けに「iOS 17.0.2」、iOS 17やiPadOS 17に対応しないiPhoneやiPad向け「iOS 16.7」や「iPadOS 16.7」、スマートウォッチ「Apple Watch」向け「watchOS 10.0.1」や「watchOS 9.6.3」、パソコン「Mac」向け「macOS Ventura 13.6」や「macOS Monterey 12.7」なども提供開始されています。
iPhone向けのiOSやiPad向けのiPadOSの最新メジャーバージョンとして先ごろよりiOS 17.0とiPadOS 17.0が提供開始されていましたが、これらに続けて重要なセキュリティー修正を行うiOS 17.0.1およびiPadOS 17.0.1がリリースされました。iOS 17.0.1およびiPadOS 17.0.1の対象機種は以下の通り。

更新は従来通り各製品本体のみでOTA（On-The-Air）によりダウンロードで行え、方法としては、「設定」→「一般」→「ソフトウェア・アップデート」から行え、単体でアップデートする場合のダウンロードサイズは手持ちのiPhone 13 Pro MaxでiOS 17.0からだと387.1MBとなっています。
またiTunesをインストールしたWindowsおよびMacとUSB-Lightningケーブルで接続しても実施できます。なお、Appleが案内しているアップデートの内容およびセキュリティーコンテンツの修正は以下の通り。その他、スマートウォッチ向け「watchOS 9.6.2」やパソコン向け「macOS Ventura 13.5.2」なども配信開始されています。
