| Windows 10 Mobileは死んだ！？新機能や新製品の投入はしない模様 |
MicrosoftのWindows and Devices Group 副社長を務めるJoe Belfiore氏が自身のTwitterアカウントにて同社のスマートフォン（スマホ）など向けプラットフォーム「Windows 10 Mobile」について“今後は新たな機能の追加や新製品へはリリースしない”と投稿しています。
同社では先日、AndroidやiPhone向けのWebブラウザー「Microsoft Edge」のプレビュー版をリリースしており、同氏はWindows搭載のパソコン（PC）を使っている人の多くがすでにAndroidやiPhoneを使っていると説明。
また同氏は自身もユーザーとしてAndroidに乗り換えたとし、今後はこれらのiPhoneなどのiOSやAndroidとWindows PCとのエコシステムを拡充していくとのこと。なお、今後も主に企業向けなどとして不具合修正やセキュリティーパッチの提供などのWindows 10 Mobieのサポートは継続していくとしています。
